Evaluations

Dr. Shaw routinely conducts the following evaluations:

Psychological Evaluations for Immigration Cases.

There are several situations in which persons who are not citizens of the United States may appeal for special permission to remain in the country due to extenuating circumstances. A psychological evaluation can strengthen a legal appeal in such cases.

Emotional Support Animal Evaluations.

It is a known fact that a large number of people in the United States have a tough time coping with normal daily activities. Typically, this is because of a live event or experience that has resulted in an emotional/mental instability to respond to or function in a healthy/safe way to your normal day-to-day life activity.

Some of these Emotional Disabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Panic Attacks
  • Personality Disorder
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

The following are some examples of various symptoms related to mental/emotional disabilities, but are not limited to:

  • Feelings of depression or anxiety that continue for a couple of days or longer.
  • Experiencing difficulty maintaining personal relationships with people.
  • Developing irrational fears associated with otherwise normal life problems or situations.
  • Not able to interact with others in either a private or public setting.

If anything listed above describes your condition, you qualify as emotionally disabled. It is a proven fact that a large amount of people suffering from any of the above symptoms have found that having a beloved animal being used as an emotional support animal greatly reduces or can even eliminate the symptoms brought on by an emotional disability.

Dr. Shaw is qualified to write a prescription for you to register you animal as an emotional support animal. This letter will enable you to take your animal companion with you to hotels, rental cars, and airplanes.
